This new blog is an attempt to curb the burgeoning wardrobe collection, stop the stockpiling of striped tops and focus on what's really needed. It's a kind of Spring clean. I have written a fashion piece for Red magazine (March 2011) and I thought I should show you the rigorous testing behind it. Let me know what you think.Launched 1st Feb 2011....

Day Thirty Nine

I got this last summer when denim shirts were having a bit of a moment. Moment or not it's still works, I mean it's a denim shirt and it was cheap as chips. Well, if you buy your chips in a very pricey chip shop. This is a classic 'knocking about with the kids' ensemble. Practical, hard working, washable, but never boring. This shirt is extra long so can be worn, jacket like, over little dresses, shorts or skinny trousers. See, I told you it was useful.
These wide legs look great with wedges, converse, trainers and flip flops. The heavy cotton is heavy duty so will last for years. As you wash it the fabric fibres break down so it softens with age.

  1. I realize it's been ages since you posted this, but do you still get wear out of these wide leg trousers? How do they fit (sizing)? I have a small frame and often get swallowed by wide leg jeans, but I love them and can't stay away. These look awfully tempting! Any input that you have would be welcome.

By the way, many thanks for keeping this blog open - a useful resource for my own attempts and curating a well-rounded wardrobe!
